Judges 15- 1 Samuel 2

One thing I noticed in today's reading is from Judges is the people did what was right in their sight throughout the period of the Judges. Was it was because they did not have a King? ( Rhetorical)

Judges‬ ‭21:25‬ ‭KJV‬‬
[25] In those days there was no king in Israel: every man did that which was right in his own eyes.

As I read Ruth I wondered what would have happened to Ophrah if she had went back with Naomi.

When Boaz is mentioned as the kinsman Redeemer, I think about a foreshadowing of what Jesus did for us. He redeemed us and made the church his bride.

I always Loved the song/prayer of Hannah. God is faithful. She asked for a son ,and because of her humility and persistent prayers,  God gave her a son, then she kept her vow and gave him back to the Lord.

God blessed her with 5 more children. That stood out to me. What ever we render to the Lord he multiples  us with  grace ,(He gives more grace to the humble).

In day 19’s reading from Samuel Proverbs 3:6 acknowledge him in all your ways and He will direct your path . I see this so heavily when reading Samson if he had sought the lord he would not have fallen and I couldn’t fathom the wiles nor beauty of a woman to be able to get me to assist in my own death literally fool me once shame on you fool me twice shame on me and to think he was setup for a bounty of 1100 silver vs Jesus our lord and savior only 30 .

Also it’s as if it was dejavú of sodom and Gomorra in judges 19 when the bejammites came to the house where the strangers were and verbatim said bring out the men that we may know them (ie have sex with them) . What confused me more is that when the schism was formed against the children of Israel god didn’t deliver the benjammites for their wickedness yet he allowed Judah to come against them and fall and again then on the third he delivered them I might’ve missed why that is maybe he couldn’t intervene due to the covenant with both people ?
