1 Kings 16-- 2 Kings 4
There is much we can learn from the evil kings and prophets.
Ahab being one of the most evil Kings and the consequences of him marrying Jezebel. In this he led the whole nation to sin against God. And yet a merciful God gave Ahab another chance in his lifetime when he repented but the consequences was just postponed to the next generation.
The prophet Elijah is introduced however it doesn't indicate where he came from or if he was from Samuel school of the prophets, yet we see he was God's mouth piece and his predecessor Elisha.
The story of Elisha and the widow's oil is one of my favorite. 2 Kings 4:2 HCSB
[2] Elisha asked her, “What can I do for you? Tell me, what do you have in the house? ” She said, “Your servant has nothing in the house except a jar of oil.”
Lesson I got is sometimes the little things we see as "nothing " is the very same thing God will use to give us a miracle with prophetic insight. Elisha gave her directives that led to bring her recieve supernatural abundances, breakthrough, over flow etc.
