Leviticus 14-26.

Reading all of these Laws  made me honestly wondered if all these laws  was even possible for them to keep.  Yet if This was what God required he required it. It required obedience.

God was not playing. He is the same God! Thank God for Jesus for real. That's all I keep thinking when I read all these laws.

What also stood out to me was Leviticus  19:2.“Speak to all the congregation of the children of Israel, and say to them: 'You shall be holy, for I the LORD your God am holy.

God is still saying this today. He requires us  as  much like He did the nation of Israel.

All the laws/commandments were not required for all them to keep. Only what applies to priest was for priest and some laws for women, others for married couples and some for farmers etc..some are specific when it came to accessing sacred space as to draw a line between holy and profane. He was making a separation of proper worship and improper. (Pagan practices). God did not intend to use the law as a means for salvation but mainly a guide on how to live until he returned or until the Holy Spirit showed up and wrote the law in our hearts.

He gave commands on how to love God and how to love your neighbor. The 10 commandments are a table of contents but he goes into the details in these chapters. So if we love our neighbor we won’t practice the things He forbids.
They were not intended as works for salvation because he already saved them from Egypt. The Pharisees twisted the laws and made them a requirement for salvation Not God. We see Paul addressing that later.

These commandments are how we are to live and walk the Christian lifestyle out of love Not salvation. They are a way of making a separation between acceptable behavior and non acceptable. Since the Israelites were coming from a Pagan nation He had to show them how to live and look like Him.
It became a problem for them because of the people who were stubborn and bent on sin.
Psamls 119, says the law of the Lord is perfect. So it was the people who failed. But even then Jesus made a way to reconcile us to God. In addition God was safeguarding them from Demons by telling them how to live righteously. Without Holy Spirit no one can keep the commandments.
