5 Categories of Deliverance

Before we look at the different Categories of Deliverance, let me make this clear.

​Churches with cosmetics and vanity cannot cast out water demons., witchcraft demons, and the spirit of death.
Their deliverance is true deliverance, but they are weak deliverances. Weak deliverance can only cast out weak demons, but not strong demons, why?
Because you cannot cast out water spirits who are the precursors of cosmetic and worldly fashions, while you have their decorative, worldly fashions and signature on your body.

It is easier for men to do deliverance than women because most women are caught up under the stigma of cosmetics. If a woman wants to cast out Demons of death, witchcraft, and water demons, she has to strip herself off from cosmetics and vanity because marine Sirens make modern cosmetics.
All fashions and cosmetics are connected to the Queen of the waters, who is in charge of worldly beauty, which is called “Vain Beautyâ€.  

1. PARTICIPATORY DELIVERANCE
This is where both you and the deliverance minister are involved, and the completion of the deliverance is dependent upon the mutual work of both. In these cases, the complete deliverance requires prayer of spiritual authority over the demon and a series of therapeutic approaches against the lingering physical symptoms.

In some demonic health assaults, the symptoms may disappear with the departure of the instigating spirit. But in certain cases, the symptoms may still be present even if the instigating demon is gone.
This is because the physiology of the person has been tampered with on a cellular or genetic level. This means, even if the sickness is started by a demon and is demonically originated, there are physical evidence of organ problems that may require the attention of medical or therapeutic intervention.

In this situation, medicine and therapy are only possible because the demon of oppression is gone.
Note, physical therapy or applications will never work as long the demon is still in the person’s health system.


2. SELF DELIVERANCE
Self-deliverance comes in two phases:
Deliverance by using the authority and power given to you.
Deliverance by spiritual growth in Christ

How often do you see people doing self-deliverance and they would start manifesting demonic characteristics, e.g., screaming and doing all these things that people do during demonic manifestations? Or while they are manifesting, they are casting out the demon? It doesn’t happen, why? Because there are demons you can cast out from your own life [the lesser or weaker demons] and there are those [stronghold demons] you will not be able to cast out but would need an external authority to cast them out.

In Self Deliverance, the Lesser Demons or Weaker Demons†are subjective to a person with a strong life of fasting and praying. These spirits are the daily besetting demons, [workers of the 7 days and 7 nights], and are the slimy demons, worm demons, monkey demons, insect demons, imps, crawling demons, demonic rodents and pests, nightmare demons, nocturnal predators, consumer demon and some demon of infirmity and even spirit of death, etc.  
These are the weak spirits that occupy space and feed on the scraps of the head leader demons. These weak demons will not manifest but go when you command them in faith.
However, if you rise to a capacity in Christ and faithfulness and anointing, you can overthrow “some†of these types of demons by strategic actions.


3. DELIVERANCE BY SPIRITUAL GROWTH
There are some demons that will leave you only when you rise in spirituality and the capacity of a measure of anointing.
Note, in every section of your life there are corresponding demons. E.g., in your emotions there are demons that deal with your emotions, in your financial life, there are demons of finances, in your character, mental or sexual life, etc., there are corresponding demons tied to these areas.
If you want deliverance in a certain area, you must grow in spirituality in that area until the presence of God invades that area and drives out the demonic occupants.
However, this also is limited to a certain extent because there is a dimension that you need to rise in if you want total deliverance, but this dimension cannot be attained if you are under bondage.


QUESTION USUALLY ASKED
Many people would ask, “If I can get delivered by growing spiritually, why do I need a deliverance minister to deliver me?

Here is the answer.
In as much a person is able to cast out a weak demon from his/her life, or get some level of deliverance as he or she rises in spirituality, this person will not be able to cast out a strong hold demon from his or her own life, why?
There is a specific level of power you need upon you to cast out a certain category of demons [stronghold demons].
However, to attain that level of power needed to cast out a demon of that caliber, you must rise to a certain level of sanctification.
But the thing is, there is a level of sanctification that cannot be attained if a stronghold demon is in your life.

[The stronghold demons are higher-class demon who binds a person and take territories in the person’s life while sitting on that person’s life and destiny. The fact that you are bound by a demon’s hand and feet, makes you incapable of casting out that very same spirit who is sitting on you. These categories will not manifest in self-deliverance because the level of anointing a person vibrates in self-deliverance is not sufficient to cast out this category of demons.
These Demons are “possessors by force†[destructive demons] and will go only when collided with great authority by a Man or Woman of God with power.

Many people try to do their own deliverance in secret because they do not want to reveal their hidden sins because of shame. This places a hindrance in deliverance because secrecy is a darkroom for hidden sins and demons.
Hence, in all truth, self- deliverance is limited, but total deliverance will come by your submission to God and the help of a man of God. 
That is why you need someone who is already in sanctification higher than the stronghold demon binding your life.

4. NONPARTICIPATORY DELIVERANCE
That’s where the person does not have any part to play in the deliverance. Here are a few examples of nonparticipatory deliverances in the scriptures.
Luke 11:14, “And He was casting out a demon, and it was mute; when the demon had gone out, the mute man spoke; and the crowds were amazed.â€

Matthew 8:16, “When evening came, they brought to Him many who were demon-possessed; and He cast out the spirits with a word and healed all who were ill.â€

Mark 1:34, “And He healed many who were ill with various diseases and cast out many demons; and He was not permitting the demons to speak, because they knew who He was.â€

Acts 16:18, “And this she did for many days. But Paul, greatly annoyed, turned and said to the spirit, “I command you in the name of Jesus Christ to come out of her.†And he came out that very hour.


5. SECRET OR BACKGROUND DELIVERANCE
Here, the person will not know that he or she has been delivered from a spirit. You may enter a church anointed atmosphere and get delivered from a spirit of death, sickness, bondage, etc.

Hence the scripture says in 2 Corinthians 3:17, “Now the Lord is the Spirit, and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is freedomâ€.
