I’m currently in Orlando Florida on a humanitarian mission, and as I layed in bed I heard these words “Spiritual Transmission†and suddenly several old testament scriptures came to mind. I am going to try to document these scriptures and hear the Lord to relay the message that he has for his people in this season. Many of us are going through some serious struggles right now myself included. The two scriptures are listed below.
Exodus 34:7 KJV
7 Keeping mercy for thousands, forgiving iniquity and transgression and sin, and that will by no means clear the guilty; visiting the iniquity of the fathers upon the children, and upon the children’s children, unto the third and to the fourth generation.
Numbers 14:18KJV
“The LORD is longsuffering, and of great mercy, forgiving iniquity and transgression, and by no means clearing the guilty, visiting the iniquity of the fathers upon the children unto the third and fourth generation.â€
I’m going to reference these first two scriptures to establish the case. The focus of much of the old testament is based around the spiritual traverses of the Children of Israel. In this message/document I will reference other scriptures to prove the point I believe Holy Spirit is looking to express about “spiritual transmissionâ€
The foundation of all spiritual interactions are based around covenants, even on how God interacts with humanity. It is the basis of how all things that come from the realm of the spirit is applied to us spiritually and physically.
There is no indication in the Old Testament Scriptures of any man or woman of God casting out spirits so it was important to keep oneself free from the influence of the demonic. In the first scripture reference God is speaking to the children of Israel about “Mercy for thousands, forgiving iniquity transgression and sin, but on the other hand he will not clear the guilty but visiting the iniquity onto the 3rd and fourth generation.†Numbers 14:18 is almost verbatim establishing a principle, this is known as the law of double emphasis
“THE NEXT PRINCIPLE for investigation in our study of Hermeneutics is what is termed the law of double reference. We are now in a position to study this most important rule, which is found through the prophetic portion of the Word. We have seen that the basic rule of all interpretation is what is properly called the golden rule of interpretation, which insists upon our taking every word at its primary, ordinary, usual, literal meaning, unless the facts of the immediate context, studied in the light of related passages, demand a departure from the literal, ordinary meaning and require that we understand a passage as figurative or metaphorical. When we have mastered this rule until we can apply it unconsciously to our Bible study, and when we have made a note of the fact that we must recognize the law of first mention, we are then in a position to study the law of double reference.â€
The issue of spiritual transmission was established before time itself as we all come into the world through the only portal by which a human can enter the world, the womb of a woman. This entrance is also done through a covenant. Either one through marriage in which the mother and father should be in through the blessings of God. Genesis 1:28 KJV establishes what God has intended for humanity or out of wedlock and therefore many of us are born into the world at a spiritual deficit, it’s called the “curse of the bastardâ€, it is applied to all who are born out of wedlock. Listed down below
Deuteronomy 23:2 – 3
A bastard shall not enter into the congregation of the LORD; even to his tenth generation shall he not enter into the congregation of the LORD. An Ammonite or Moabite shall not enter into the congregation of the LORD; even to their tenth generation shall they not enter into the congregation of the LORD for ever
Genesis 1:28 KJV speaks of God’s intention for humanity as for procreation and His blessings.
Genesis 1:28 KJV
And God blessed them, and God said unto them, Be fruitful, and multiply, and replenish the earth, and subdue it: and have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over every living thing that moveth upon the earth.
The marriage covenant is what God has deemed as the acceptable parameters for spiritual transmission in the auspices of marriage and procreation. Anything other than that opens us up to the transmission of evil curses and covenants to be transmitted.
Deuteronomy 7:3 KJV
Neither shalt thou make marriages with them; thy daughter thou shalt not give unto his son, nor his daughter shalt thou take unto thy son.
1st KIngs 11:12 KJV
from the nations of whom the LORD had said to the children of Israel, “You shall not intermarry with them, nor they with you. Surely they will turn away your hearts after their gods.†Solomon clung to these in love
Just to be clear some have perverted these to mean God was against racial intermarrying and that is absolutely false. Moses was married to a dark-completed woman of African descent. The prohibition was not because of ethnicity or complexion but spiritual complications of spiritual transmission. I reiterate there was no power to cast out spirits or do away with these demonic covenants.
Let’s look at the conquering of the 7 nations in Deuteronomy 7:1 KJV
Deuteronomy 7:1 KJV
“When the LORD your God brings you into the land where you are entering to possess it, and clears away many nations before you, the Hittites and the Girgashites and the Amorites and the Canaanites and the Perizzites and the Hivites and the Jebusites, seven nations greater and stronger than you,” (Deuteronomy 7:1)
The judgment of the nations of Canaan was a milestone in the fulfillment of God’s covenant to Abraham & Sarah, it is central to the establishment of the nation of Israel, the chosen people of God. The promise of a ‘nation of descendants’ to the childless old man & woman, reflects the faith nature of God, who asks for trust in Himself and His character, before any proof is given. Though the obstacles are much bigger than us, and remaining permanently beyond what we can grasp for ourselves, God offers His Word as the only proof, and by trusting, miraculous results follow, and we change. Abraham “believed God†and righteousness was given him as a free gift. (Gen. 15:6)
“Then in the fourth generation they will return here, for the iniquity of the Amorite is not yet complete.” (Gen 15:16)
But over that time, their wickedness increased from generation to generation. Can you imagine the presence and power of Satan embedded and contagiously spreading through the doorway nations of Canaan? Can you imagine darkness so expansive through a culture, that the people who carry God’s plan of redemption were at risk of being overwhelmed and destroyed? These Canaanite nations were offering up their live babies as burnt offerings to the demonic false gods they worshipped. After 400 years, the evil was complete; the dominance of darkness deep-rooted, wide-spread, and in control. God’s judgment was also full and complete. The Lord said of them:
God rose up in defense of His plan to redeem mankind, and to rid the earth of Satan’s effort to prevent it. He took His land, which He created, back. He gave it to His redemptive people. But for His plan to work, Israel would have to co-labor with Him, and by faith, would have to fight for it, inch by bloody inch. The conquest of the Promised Land is a type or ‘symbolic template’ of all the promises of God for believers in Christ. Their promised land was physical; our promised land is spiritual. Their battle was against seven demon possessed nations that had to be conquered, “little by littleâ€.
“Our battle is against the demonic powers that stand in the way of our promises being fulfilled. Our promised land is our own nature, much of it, still occupied territory, unsanctified by the transforming power of God’s Holy Spirit. Our promised land is the sheep of God yet to be brought into the fold. Our promised land is ultimately heaven. We place one foot in front of the other, trusting God for His mercy and strength to persevere, we “suit up and show up, we will, like Joshua and Caleb, be among those who inherit promises,
one by one, step by step, inch by bloody inch, and little by little. And there is no deeper joy, than inheriting the land God promised you, by faith.
God is able and willing, to help us overcome those problems that are “greater and stronger†than we. (Deut. 7:1) Let’s trust Him walk forward, and little by little, together with God, we will overcome.â€
There is like a cryptic statement by Jesus in the New Testament I mean read letters actually words of our Lord. Luke chapter 17 says this.
Luke 17:25
25 But first must he suffer many things, and be rejected of this generation.26 And as it was in the days of Noe, so shall it be also in the days of the Son of man.27 They did eat, they drank, they married wives, they were given in marriage, until the day that Noah entered into the ark, and the flood came, and destroyed them all.28 Likewise also as it was in the days of Lot; they did eat, they drank, they bought, they sold, they planted, they builded;29 But the same day that Lot went out of Sodom it rained fire and brimstone from heaven, and destroyed them all.30 Even thus shall it be in the day when the Son of man is revealed.
In order to explore deeper we must look at a specific event preceding the flood which is documented in Genesis 6
Genesis 6:1-4 KJV
And it came to pass, when men began to multiply on the face of the earth, and daughters were born unto them,2 That the sons of God saw the daughters of men that they were fair; and they took them wives of all which they chose.3 And the Lord said, My spirit shall not always strive with man, for that he also is flesh: yet his days shall be an hundred and twenty years.4 There were giants in the earth in those days; and also after that, when the sons of God came in unto the daughters of men, and they bare children to them, the same became mighty men which were of old, men of renown.
The two inferences here that there was a marriage that God does not approve of, One between humans and spiritual entities referenced in the old testament and Jesus then said the same thing will be happening close to his return. These relationships are prohibited because it opens us up to spiritual contamination and transfer. The other is being yoked with unbelievers.
In closing God’s prohibitions because He is a loving God is always to benefit humanity and not hurt us, that we might prosper us and keep us from demonic activity as the enemy seeks to steal kill and destroy JOHN 10:10
